Course release date: October, 2011.

The third installment in a six-part leadership series, this 60-minute course introduces the standards of performance that define competency as the level of mastery in a specific professional field. Peter DeLisle discusses mastery, not only as performing at a level of capability that is highly successful, but also increasingly self-managing and self-organizing. Technical, interpersonal, and resource utilization behaviors are presented as fundamental components of competency. The course also explores methods for determining competency and benchmarking performance, as well as strategies for strengthening the relationship between compensation and incentive plans.

This course is presented in high definition video and is available on computers, smart phones, tablets and other mobile devices.

Course viewers may also download a full written transcript of this course.
