This 90-minute program examines path of travel and accessible route as the connecting matrix of a site or building in order to be accessible in terms of movement and access. The course explores the differences between how the accessible route is configured in the 2010 ADA Standards and the California Building Code (CBC) Chapter 11B and illustrates how, in the end, both standards are clearly focused on getting disabled individuals access to building elements and services they require as safely and easily as possible. The course also explores the critical aspects of construction documents and specifications as they pertain to accessibility.
This course complies with California licensure requirements regarding accessibility and provides essential information about accessibility requirements applicable in most states. Take the entire series of 4 courses and fulfill all 5 hours of your California SB1608 license requirements.
This course is presented in high definition video and requires a fast internet connection. (Course viewers may also download a full written transcript of this course, including all diagrams.)
