This course meets the requirements for Net Zero Carbon Design for California license renewals and is provided gratis to AIA members courtesy of AIA California.
Non-AIA members can purchase this cost for $35 or buy a ZNCD Passport for $75 and select up to 4 courses to meet the required 5 hours for license renewals.
Edward Dean, FAIA, LEED AP BD+C, PhD, presents case studies of three common building types that are designed as all-electric buildings and that will operate with zero-carbon emissions once the California electric grid has been 100% decarbonized, currently scheduled for 2045. Each of these case study buildings have been designed to achieve zero-net-energy (ZNE) performance through the use of on-site renewable energy systems and energy-efficient design strategies.
Upon successful completion of a multiple-choice quiz, a Certificate of Completion will be available for download and can be used to verify your licensure requirements.
