This course, part of a 3-course series filmed live at AIA Seattle’s 2025 Climate Summit, explores nature-based climate solutions in urban and rural contexts, including their role in flood management, heat mitigation, and habitat restoration. The presenters analyze ecosystem knowledge and ecological intelligence in the planning, design, and construction of climate-resilient and equitable built environments, and identify strategies for achieving equitable climate adaptation, including community engagement, inclusive planning processes, and addressing frontline community needs.
