The Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) 2040 Challenge, issued by the Carbon Leadership Forum in 2021, requires a set of commitments aimed at achieving total carbon emissions associated with building systems, including MEP embodied carbon.
In this webinar, architects and design professionals will learn more about the MEP 2040 Challenge and its mission to rapidly reduce whole building carbon and MEP embodied carbon by 2040. Presenters review the Beginner’s Guide to MEP Embodied Carbon and dive into pilot projects of various building types, climate zones, HVAC system typologies, and impacts of refrigerant emissions to demonstrate how architects can reduce embodied carbon.
Upon successful completion of a multiple-choice quiz, a Certificate of Completion will be available for download and can be used to verify your licensure requirements.
