AIACC Design Course #aeck-D121: MDC - Rand Elliott, FAIA: Stray Dogs
Presented by: Rand Elliott, FAIA
AIA/CES (HSW) Learning Units: 1.0 Hours
Course release date: February, 2016.
In this 60-minute course, filmed live at the AIA California Council's 2015 Monterey Design Conference, Rand Elliott, FAIA, shares his insights on designing for the environment and discusses the experiences that influence his work. Rand’s mesmerizing poetry, stunning visuals and provocative videos capture his deep respect for the land, the sun and the wind. His dramatic parking garage, iconic gas station, rhythmic boathouse and small-town house sited in a spare landscape enchant us with how light flows into a building. In his own words, Rand shows us “space that can only be heard by a stray dog.”
This course is presented in high definition video and is available on computers, smart phones, tablets and other mobile devices.
